Enfield Council is celebrating Black History Month

The showcase is a night where young people will have the opportunity to display their talents and celebrate their achievements. It will be a fun filled night where people will be entertained and educated. This is a multi disciplinary partnership working event to bring the local community together promoting peace and unity.

The event will include the launch of the Iyke Book Club Inspired Youth Keeping Educated, this Club has been named in memory of Iyke Nmezu who was a member of Craig Park Youth Centre and who sadly died last year after a violent assault.

The streets can be unsafe places for young people, and as such Enfield Councils Youth Support Service has taken the lead in pioneering the first young person led Peacekeeping Service. This will aim to equip teenagers with the skills to mediate conflicts and bring together different groups of people.

If you are aged 13-19 come and participate in one of our many activities on offer @ Craig Park Youth Centre, 2 Lawrence Road, Edmonton, London N18 2HN. The Youth Centre is currently open Tuesday- Friday 7-10pm and will be soon opening on weekends. The Youth Centre has a range of facilities and opportunities. This includes- youth gym, sports and dance academy, book club, advice and support on sexual health, relationships, careers and further education, and a Staying Safe programme.
