Black History Month has been celebrated across the UK every October for over 30 years, each year growing from strength to strength. Black History Month is a time when we highlight and celebrate the achievements of the black community and uncover hidden history about our communities.

BHM Publication
Sugar Media’s BHM – (The Official Guide to Black History Month), now in its 11th year of publication, provides a central focus for the nationwide celebration of BME (Black Minority Ethnic) history, arts and culture throughout Britain.
BHM is distributed to schools, colleges, community groups, libraries, universities, and at BHM events and venues throughout the UK. This year BHM 2007 features an exclusive interview with the Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, a personal introduction by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and a special section Freedom Song, commemorating the bi-centennial of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act.
